In the 18th district of Paris is the famous district of Montmartre. It extends from the Pigalle district in the south to the Lamarck district in the north and covers the entire Montmartre mound. The historic heart of this hill is punctuated by the emblematic cabaret of the Moulin Rouge which attracts the many curious travelers, and the basilica of the Sacré-Coeur which guides them to its summit.
